MODULE 1 - VOICE-OVER TECHNIQUES

By technique, many people understand the sound recording process together with the distance to the microphone, tone of voice, diction and volume. There is however, so much more than that, as what we see and hear is the final result of many sometimes very peculiar components. In this voice-over training you will develop foundational skills in voice-over using a mixture of information, well-structured interactive activities together with industry insights and ideas you will find useful during your voice-over career. The first module is the biggest and most important of all of them and delivers a full package for everyone, who would like to join the lucrative voice-over industry. It's value doesn't end with the training course itself. Every member will gain access to a dedicated Talent Area, which is full of tools and bespoke ready to use voice-over solutions. In Module 1 there are two talent areas Standard and Gold. In this module you will dive deep into voice-over equipment and discover everything you need to know about your Home Recording Studio. Recording studio spaces can be of different sizes and shapes and have different acoustic designs as well. There is no secret formula for determining the perfect studio specification or design. Each voice-over home recording studio has its own layout, sonic character, and décor. Many voice-over artists struggle with decisions that could cost them money and time. There are, however, many solutions that can help to set up both the voice booth and the control room, within a limited space. There are several options available including portable studio, project studio and permanent studio. There are hundreds of choices for active voice-over artists. In this module, you will learn about designing and upgrading your existing music studio, software, hardware and equipment. The more time you spend studying available home studio solutions, the less money you will spend on it in the future. In this module, you will also take a virtual 3D walk and explore a professional voice-over recording studio in a VR (Virtual Reality) format. It goes without saying that digital technology has revolutionised the way voice-over audio is being recorded and edited. Every voice-over artist will at some point require audio editing skills. This is especially important when working independently. There has never been a better moment to learn how to use DAW software. To record voice at a professional level twenty years ago, you needed very expensive equipment that took up a lot of room. The basic concepts of sound editing can support you in your work, while more sophisticated techniques will make your recording more competitive. This module also touches on elements like signal distribution, noise removal, and editing your audio files. Gaining confidence in editing your audio files is very important, simply because you will be doing this on a daily basis. MODULE 4 - AUDIO MASTERING

The process of preparing a vocal recording for distribution or transmission is known as mastering. When mastering, your vocal are subjected to processing such as equalisation, compression, and limiting in order to improve the quality of your audio. Thanks to mastering skills, you will be able to create fully professional audio files within your home recording studio. The process of mastering requires specialised technical skills, trained ears, and carefully designed and prepared listening conditions. Mastering is the art of giving a final shape to the audio recording, by focusing on the original character of the master recording. Mastering is not about changing the sound but gently focuses on existing qualities. In this learning module, the training is incorporated into activities and exercises.
